💨 Abstract

The Indian government launched an AI-enabled voice and WhatsApp-based chatbot to help persons with disabilities (PwDs) access information on government schemes. Developed with Sarvam AI, the chatbot aims to bridge the digital divide. DEPwD Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal emphasized the societal responsibility of accessibility and inclusion. Three MoUs were signed to enhance accessibility in built environments, promote innovation, and make public infrastructure barrier-free.
