💨 Abstract
The Department of Science and Technology has announced the closure of Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous body established in 1989 to promote science and rational thinking. The wind-up process is expected to be completed within nine months, and residual administrative and legal cases will be handled by the National Innovation Foundation. The government's science popularization agenda was served by Vigyan Prasar.
