💨 Abstract
In Gujarat's Gir Somnath district, a demolition drive was conducted on September 28 to remove encroachments from government lands near the Somnath Temple. Over 135 people were detained during this operation, and approximately 15 hectares of government land valued at Rs 60 crore were cleared. The drive, involving hundreds of police personnel and heavy machinery, demolished unauthorized structures, including religious structures and concrete houses.
