A Haryana-based gang member was arrested in Thane, Maharashtra, for stealing valuables from passengers on long-distance trains. The arrest was made after a complaint by a Pune resident who lost gold ornaments during his journey on the Veraval Express. The Government Railway Police recovered 178 grams of jewellery worth Rs 11.7 lakh from the arrested individual. Efforts are underway to trace other gang members.
