The Haryana government has sent a list of 370 corrupt patwaris (administrative officers responsible for maintaining land records in villages) to deputy commissioners for action within 15 days. These patwaris allegedly exploited their positions of authority, creating a parallel system that prioritizes personal gain over public service, and used 170 assistants to collect corruption money for routine services.
