Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated Omar Abdullah on being sworn in as the CM of Jammu and Kashmir, marking the first elected government in the Union territory post the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Abdullah, from the National Conference, won 42 seats in the recent elections, with Congress bagging six.
