💨 Abstract
In Karnataka, two cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) have been detected. The virus is not considered dangerous, but precautions are advised for children, the elderly, and those with weak immunity. The virus does not seem to be the one prevalent in China. The infected patients, a three-month-old female and an eight-month-old male, have already been discharged and are recovering.
