A woman research scholar at IIT Madras was reportedly harassed by a worker and male students outside the campus, and was later handed over to the police by the public. The accused, who works in a bakery outside the campus, has no connection with IIT Madras. The institute has installed CCTV cameras and is taking measures to ensure the safety and security of all students, while also providing support to the woman student.
