The Uttar Pradesh government demolished an illegal madrasa in Shravasti and sealed two more, as part of a campaign against illegal religious institutions near the Nepal border. This campaign, involving district and police administrations in five districts, has so far demolished or sealed 28 madrasas, nine mosques, six mazars, and one Eidgah.
