💨 Abstract
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) aims to improve forecast accuracy by leveraging data from CubeSats, crowdsourcing, IoT devices, and conventional weather satellites. IMD has sent a dedicated meteorological satellite and installed a high power computing system (HPCS) to issue more accurate forecasts. The IMD is also developing research testbeds in Bhopal and Mumbai to deepen understanding of monsoon dynamics.
