💨 Abstract

On May 14, the Supreme Court of India addressed several key cases: It declined an urgent hearing for a plea against Allahabad High Court’s Justice Yashwant Varma over a cash discovery. The SC withdrew a land dispute ruling due to a fabricated settlement. It questioned the Centre on gender neutrality in the Army's Judge Advocate General branch. The court also directed states and union territories to ensure proper footpaths for pedestrians, deeming it a constitutional right.
