💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered a status quo on the construction of housing units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at a disputed site in Lucknow's Jiamau, owned by the sons of late gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari. The SC also noted that the executive and legislature should decide whether individuals who have availed quota benefits and can compete with others should be excluded from reservation.
