💨 Abstract

India has reduced the export duty on parboiled rice from 20% to 10%, as rice inventories surged and farmers are about to harvest a new crop. The government also lowered the duty on brown rice and husked rice to 10%. The export duty on white rice is now zero, though it's unclear if private traders will be allowed to export.
