💨 Abstract

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan held a 45-minute hotline discussion on May 12 to avoid hostile military actions. They agreed to prevent military provocations and considered reducing troops from their shared borders following recent four-day hostilities that involved targeting each other's military installations. Earlier, both countries reached an understanding on May 10 to halt all military actions, ending the worst tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors in recent years.
