💨 Abstract
India has approved a 450 billion rupee ($5.4 billion) project to construct two nuclear-powered attack submarines, focusing on boosting naval capabilities amidst growing concerns over China's presence in the Indian Ocean region. The new submarines will be constructed at the government's shipbuilding centre in Visakhapatnam, with Larsen and Toubro expected to join the project.
