India is on the verge of reaching one billion voters, as stated by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. He made this announcement at a press conference on January 7th. The electoral rolls were released the previous day, and with the upcoming declaration of special summary revision results from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Punjab, India is expected to surpass 99 crore voters for the first time.
