The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has welcomed the Inland Waterways Development Council's decision to invest over Rs 50,000 crore over five years to improve national waterways' infrastructure. ICC chairman Mahesh Kumar Saharia praised the move, stating it would enhance regional connectivity and trade. He also noted the launch of 21 new waterway projects and the National River Traffic and Navigation System.
