India's research to unlock potential of deep-sea resources, particularly mesopelagic fish, is underway at the ongoing Fish Fest in Kochi. These resources, rich in fatty acids and lipids, have significant potential for industrial, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical applications. With increasing demand for marine fish, a collaborative research effort is in progress to explore these resources sustainably.
