Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated at the 7th Mangaluru Literary Festival that India's energy security will aid in accelerating the country's goal of becoming a USD 4 trillion economy before the projected 2027 date. He mentioned that India's refinery capacity has increased from 5 million to 5.4 million barrels per day, with potential expansion to 6-7 million barrels.
