A team of 12 mountaineers from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) successfully scaled Mount Makalu, the fifth tallest peak in the world, located in Nepal. This marks a first for central armed police forces in India. The summit was achieved on April 19, as part of a twin international expedition to Mount Makalu and Mount Annapurna, which began on March 21.
