💨 Abstract
A 93-year-old woman, Aruna Chitale, who served a month in jail during the Emergency, voted in Nagpur, Maharashtra during the ongoing assembly elections. Despite her age, she expressed her eagerness to exercise her democratic right and encouraged helping senior citizens to vote and motivating the youth to participate in elections. Chitale was in jail for a month during the Emergency imposed in 1975.
