The 270-km Jammu-Srinagar highway was reopened on Dec 29 after a day-long closure due to heavy snowfall, allowing stranded vehicles to move. However, other routes like Mughal Road, Sinthan Pass, Sonamarg-Kargil, and Bhaderwah-Chamba remain closed due to snowfall. Passengers were advised to drive cautiously and follow lane discipline.
