Nine Communist Party of India (Marxist) workers were convicted in Kerala for the murder of BJP worker Elambilayi Suraj in Kannur nearly 20 years ago. The quantum of punishment will be announced on Monday. One of the convicted, T K Rajeesh, is already serving a prison sentence for his role in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case of 2012.
