The 150-year-old Alipore Zoological Garden in Kolkata celebrated its anniversary on Tuesday. Two new enclosures were opened to the public, featuring unique species like mouse deer and four-horned antelope. A book detailing the zoo's journey, 'Calcutta Zoo Metamorphosed into Kolkata Zoo', was launched.
