💨 Abstract

Kiran Rao's film "Laapataa Ladies", a satire on patriarchy, has been selected as India's official entry for the Oscars 2025. The choice was made by a 13-member select committee headed by Assamese director Jahnu Barua from a list of 29 films, including "Animal", "Aattam", and "All We Imagine As Light".
