A water quality survey in Pune, India, found a lack of chlorine in the drinking water of 26 households of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) patients, with 77 GBS cases reported in Nanded village. Experts have urged the Pune Municipal Corporation to maintain 0.2 ppm of chlorine in household water supply. The outbreak appears to be subsiding, with a decline in GBS cases observed.
