Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has promised to increase financial assistance under the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme to Rs 3,000 if women in the state support his government. He is confident that his Mahayuti alliance will retain power in the upcoming state elections. Shinde termed the government's move to declare desi cows "Rajyamata-Gomata" as a historic decision.
