💨 Abstract

A female leopard that attacked people in recent past was caught by the forest department in Sujauli range of Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. The leopard, aged around 3-4 years, was found healthy and will be released in Trans-Gerua forests. Another leopard was rescued and released earlier. The forest department emphasizes that releasing these animals in Trans-Gerua forests reduces the chances of them venturing into residential areas.
