A two-year-old leopardess was killed after being hit by a speeding heavy vehicle in the Mala range of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. A forest officer was attacked by the injured leopardess and was rushed to the hospital. The leopardess succumbed to injuries before any medical assistance could be provided.
