In Gujarat's Bhavnagar district, a lion was electrocuted after coming into contact with an illegal electric line passing through a farm. The farm owner has been detained, and further investigation is underway. The incident highlights the danger posed to wildlife by illegal electric fences and barbed wire around farmland, which is a non-bailable offence under the Wildlife Protection Act-1972.
