💨 Abstract

The opposition Mahagathbandhan in Bihar has intensified its demand for official language status for Bhojpuri, a widely spoken dialect in the state. Senior leaders from RJD, Congress, and CPI(ML) Liberation have stated their intent to raise the issue in Parliament. The demand gained momentum following the Union Cabinet's decision to grant classical language status to five additional languages.
