Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik will propose a cable car project for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region during a meeting of transport ministers chaired by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday. The project aims to reduce congestion and preserve natural and cultural heritage, with potential sites including Elephanta Caves, Matheran, and Sanjay Gandhi National Park. If approved, feasibility surveys and development plans will be prepared.
