West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has pledged full support for the proposed investment in the semiconductor sector, following the announcement of India's first national security semiconductor fabrication plant through a US collaboration. This plant, a joint project between India and the US, will produce chips for military hardware, critical telecommunication networks, and electronics.
