In Maharashtra's Palghar district, a 42-year-old man has been accused of abetting the suicide of his 39-year-old doctor wife. The woman, who lived apart from her husband due to his work on a cargo ship, confronted him after learning about an alleged extramarital affair. Following the confrontation, the husband reportedly harassed her, which led to her suicide on January 6.
