💨 Abstract

In Surat, police seized mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 35 lakh and arrested a man named Asif Sheikh. He sourced the drug from a supplier in Mumbai and intended to sell it in Surat. Sheikh, who was unemployed, confessed to his actions during questioning. The accused was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is ongoing.
