Maneka Gandhi, other activists urge Bihar to check animal sacrifice, illegal transportation to Nepal

Animal rights activists, including Maneka Gandhi, have appealed to the Bihar government to halt the practice of animal sacrifice in the state and stop the illegal transportation of cattle to Nepal for the Gadhimai festival. They claim that around Rs 10 million worth of Indian buffaloes are smuggled monthly and sold in Nepal.
