In Manipur, a search operation was initiated in Imphal East district on Dec 28 to find the perpetrators behind the recent shootings at Thamnapokpi and Sanasabi. Combined forces of police, Army, CRPF, and BSF were involved in the search, focusing on Yaingangpokpi and surrounding hill areas. However, a security team was stopped near Saibol village by tribal women who asked them to leave.
