Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, passed away. Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary and a former minister in the UPA government, paid tribute to Singh and highlighted his contributions, including transforming the Indian economy and passing revolutionary legislation. Ramesh also mentioned Singh's humility, integrity, and the efforts of those who sought to tarnish his reputation. Notably, Singh's initiatives were sometimes credited to his successor.
