💨 Abstract

The Jammu and Kashmir government is mapping and demarcating wetlands, as per Supreme Court directions. The exercise, using remote sensing data and collaboration with revenue and wildlife departments, is scheduled to be completed by the end of March. Six wetlands have documents prepared, four are almost finalized, and two are under examination. District wetland management units have been constituted for protection and preservation.
