An eight-year-old girl, Shalini, was killed in a leopard attack in Tamolinpurwa village near Katarniaghat Wildlife Division, Bahraich, UP, on January 15. The leopard, which emerged from a sugarcane field, grabbed Shalini while she was with her family in a field. Her mother and other villagers tried to chase the leopard away, but Shalini died from her injuries.
