The Uttar Pradesh Police has denied rumors about a new investigation into the 1978 communal riots in Sambhal, which resulted in several casualties. The denial comes following a request for details about the riots, made by MLC Shreesh Chandra Sharma on December 17. The police clarified that they are currently compiling relevant information to be sent to the government once the process is complete.
