đź’¨ Abstract

Researchers at IIT Indore have developed a method to use food waste in concrete, enhancing its strength by 50% and reducing carbon emissions. By mixing non-pathogenic bacteria with food waste like rotten fruit pulp and peels, they create calcium carbonate crystals that fill cracks in the concrete, strengthening it. This process is cost-effective and sustainable as it replaces the use of synthetic chemicals in traditional applications of mixing bacteria in concrete.
