💨 Abstract
The Union Home Ministry has declared Naxalism, a form of communist extremism, as the greatest threat to democracy. The Modi government has vowed to eradicate it, following the killing of 12 Maoists in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh. The goal is to make India 'Naxal Mukt' (Naxal-free) by March 31, 2026.
