💨 Abstract

Animal activists rescued over 60 injured birds in Mumbai during Makar Sankranti celebrations, due to injuries caused by kite strings, despite a ban on such manjha. Despite efforts to curb its use and disposal, the use of nylon and glass-coated strings persists, leading to bird deaths. The rescued birds are being treated, with many requiring surgeries and rehabilitation.
