💨 Abstract
India has rejected Pakistan's criticism of the Waqf Amendment Act, calling it "motivated and baseless." The External Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, asserted that Pakistan has no right to comment on an internal Indian matter and should focus on its own record of protecting minorities' rights. Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson had earlier accused India of infringing on the religious and economic rights of Indian Muslims by passing the law.
