The Delhi High Court on Monday directed activist Medha Patkar to move the sessions court to seek permission for virtual appearances in a 23-year-old defamation case filed by former Delhi LG V K Saxena. Patkar was convicted in April by a sessions court for defamatory statements against Saxena and was sentenced to five months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh.
