💨 Abstract
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed a farmer's plea challenging his externment from Burhanpur, directing the state's chief secretary to call a meeting of district magistrates to prevent them from passing orders under political pressure. The court imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on several respondents, including state government officials, and observed that the district magistrate acted in excess of his authority and was guided by extraneous considerations.
