💨 Abstract
The Calcutta High Court released a petition alleging police harassment of the family of Haragobinda Das and his son Chandan, who were killed in April's Murshidabad communal violence. The division bench, headed by Justice Soumen Sen, directed the Chief Justice to assign the case to a new bench for hearing. The defendants, widows of the victims, claimed that Bidhannagar police broke into their Salt Lake residence and hurled abuses.
