In Kanpur, UP, a Muslim youth was allegedly assaulted by members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal at a Navratri event. The incident occurred when private guards and volunteer staff were checking attendees' identities to prevent non-Hindus from entering. Purported videos of the incident showed the man being questioned about his religion.
