In Delhi, the police have opposed the bail plea of AAP Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan, citing his role as a facilitator in an organized crime syndicate. The police claim that Balyan could influence witnesses, destroy evidence, and hamper the ongoing investigation, as stated by the special public prosecutor. The prosecutor also cited 16 FIRs against syndicate members and claimed that the investigation was at a crucial stage.
